Are you looking for ways to get more involved at Trace? We have an opening on next year’s PTO Board for FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT, and we would love to have you join us!
The PTO Board guides fundraising efforts, coordinates volunteers for events, helps communicate school information, and supports the teachers and staff. Serving on the Board is also a great way to meet other parents while you are helping the school. The PTO Executive Board meets once a month during the day.
Fundraising Assistant works with the VP of Fundraising on all fundraising events and then serves as the Vice President the following year.

Polar Express Day is next Wednesday, and it is a fun and magical day at Trace Crossings Elementary! The school is transformed, everyone is in pajamas, the conductor goes to every class, and we serve hot chocolate to everyone.
And we need your help to make this Polar Express Day special! Can you volunteer some of your time to help serve hot chocolate? Can you donate the hot cocoa mix or other items needed?
Please drop off all items at the front desk by Monday, December 9. And please note: we are very specific about the type of hot chocolate mix needed, because we make it in large batches. Thank you for your help and your continued support of Trace Crossings Elementary!
Sign-up to help with Friends & Family
Friends & Family is a special event at Trace Crossings Elementary, and it’s next week! To make this event go as smoothly as possible, we need a little help! And right now, we especially need help with clean-up. Would you consider signing up to work a shift wiping down tables, sweeping, or wiping off trays?
As each class leaves the lunchroom, we need to wipe down the table and sweep underneath. And as everyone returns their empty trays, we need to clean them.
Please consider signing up to work a shift before or after you eat with your child! We appreciate your help making this event great for all of our students, staff, and families!
The RACE FOR TRACE is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and, this year, the FUN RUN has moved to the fall. Our goal is $15,000 to be used for improvements to the lunchroom, library, and other places in the school. And we know we can reach that goal with your help! It’s time for the fall Book Fair! The Book Fair will be here next week for students to visit during their library times. And it will also be open during next week’s Parent Nights!
Can you help with the Book Fair this year? A few volunteers are needed to help each day. Typically the younger students need a little help choosing books to stay within their budget. The shifts are short, and most of them are around lunch time. Click here to sign-up to help at this fall’s Book Fair

Meet at 7:30 AM at the school this Saturday. Then help with some projects to get the campus ready for school! You don’t need any special skills – you don’t even have to be a Dad. Sign-up online now and we will see you Saturday!
We will see you at the school on Sunday for the Back to School Bash sponsored by Trace Crossings Elementary! Come for an afternoon of fun and games, meet friends and share your summer adventures. All grades will meet in the multi-purpose room at their scheduled time and then transition to the playground later.

Field Day is coming! It’s one of the biggest days of the year for our kids, and they need our help. Can you sign up to help with something at Field Day this year? You can still watch your kids – either sign up to help with an event where your kids will be, or sign-up to help before or after an event you want to watch.
There are SO many jobs to choose from, and you can work as many as you like (as long as they don’t overlap)! We have tried to list the grade that will be participating in an activity at a particular time so you can sign up for where your child will be.
Can’t be there but still want to help? We need to borrow a few tents to make the day go smoothly and give our kiddos some shade. Please sign up to help in any way you can!

It’s almost Book Fair time, and Mrs. Farnlacher and the kids need our help! Can you volunteer to spend a little bit of your day helping with the book fair? It’s a fun way to help, and it only takes just a little bit of your time.

We still need a few more shopping helpers – no experience or special skill required. We just need a few volunteers to help the kids shop and find books that fit within their budget. Students usually shop the book fair during their regular library time. So you can volunteer to shop during your child’s library time or pick any time during the week that fits your schedule. The volunteer shifts are short, so you can spend a short amount of time or pick up several shifts – whatever works for you.
